Facilities

Since its inception, SNPT College has provided an education of uncompromising quality to our students. SNPT College offers a unique breadth of resources and outstanding academic facilities. SNPT College develops within its students the capacity to lead and change the world. For more than 35 years, our students have thrived in fields of technical education and set new standards. And the college continues to forge new paths, offering a curriculum based on technical education with an emphasis on practical learning and leadership skills. A faculty of scholars is fully engaged with their students' intellectual development, and an open curriculum encourages each student to explore many fields of knowledge.

Infrastructure

The Polytechnic has permanent buildings with Class Rooms, drawing Halls, seminar halls, laboratories and other basic amenities required for staff and students. We have well qualified and experienced faculty to quench the academic thirst.
All the class rooms, drawing halls and the Electronics and Communication Engg Laboratories, Computer Engineering Laboratories, Physics, Chemistry and English Laboratories are accommodated in the main building. Workshops and the Laboratories of Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering are located in separate buildings

Library


Library is computerized with Internet facilitty.

Library with reading room facility to cherish the activities of improving the standard of education and stimulating the interest of the student community is provided with up to date technical books, magazines and journals.

Placement and Training

Our polytechnic aims at development of personality, technical and analytical skills through inplant training in various industries. Arrangements are also made for Campus Recruitment Programmes. Awareness is created through industrial visits to State and Central government organizations and reputed companies. Our college placements have helped many fresh Diploma graduates to get hired by some top companies and organizations in India.

Smart Board Class

Smart Board classes are regularly conducted for all subjects by all the departments for the benefit of the students.

ISTE Student Chapter

Seminars and workshops are arranged for the enhancement of skills. Career guidance programmes are conducted at all levels. Special coaching classes are organized for the benefit of the students.

Fine Arts Society

The talents of the student community are explored to excel in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Every Year inter polytechnic (SPARKLE) Competitions and inter school (BLOSSOM) competitions are conducted and attractive prizes are distributed for the winners. All participants are awarded with participation certificates for encouragement.

Sports and Games

Aiming at sound development of mind the polytechnic has extensive facilities for games and sports like Cricket, football, Hockey, Volley ball, Badminton, Table Tennis etc. A well developed 400m standard track is available for students.

NSS

Two units are functioning well to encourage the students to involve in social works within the institution campus as well in the neighboring areas. A unit of Youth Red Cross and Red Ribbon Club are also functioning at the institute.

Hostel

Polytechnic has Boys hostel of 100 students capacity with spacious rooms furnished with cots, beds, tables, chairs, fans, recreational facilities etc., the mess is run for the benefit of the students. Study hour is compulsory everyday.

Transport Facilities

College buses are plying from the campus itself to various places such as Annanagar, Padi, villivakkam, Ambatur, Avadi, Manali, Moolakadai, Madhavaram, Perambur, Thiruvottiyur etc,.

Canteen

A canteen is being run to provide refreshment items to students at reasonable cost.

Co - operative stores

Co-operative stores for the benefit of the staff and student are functioning in the campus. Membership is compulsory for all students.

Scholarships

Government Scholarships are arranged to the eligible students. Limited number of scholarships / financial assistance is provided to the deserving students from our trust. Private scholarships / financial support are also obtained for few students through other educational trusts.
